King Lifting provides crane hire and machinery movement solutions from
depots across the country. We also supply transport and telecoms logistics and
have our own training school. We have a new vacancy for a Depot Manager at our
Bristol Avonmouth depot, from where
we run a fleet of 12 mobile cranes. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the lifting
industry having worked in a similar background.
Manager has overall responsibility for running all crane operations from the
Bristol depot. The role includes the following responsibilities:
all contracts with existing and new customers within your specified location.
ensure the optimum utilisation of the hire fleet; responsible to ensure that
the depot operates to maximum profitability.
optimise company resources to cover site visits and sales.
ensure that new customers are referred immediately to the Accounts Department
for full financial investigation.
costs and seek out additional business for the company at every opportunity,
securing best rates with a view to maximising the depot’s monthly contribution.
for the welfare and safety of all personnel, both office and operatives and for
all Environmental, Health and Safety legal and
statutory requirements within the depot and all sites visited.
operators working hours submitted via the company app, to ensure the correct
hours worked for each employee are submitted to payroll in a timely manner.
achieve, and motivate depot Hire Desk and technical staff to meet/exceed a set
of key performance indicators.
as a Depot Manager preferably gained within the construction/plant hire
understanding of the range of cranes and transport. CPCS qualification would be
strong manager of people, as it will be the Depot Manager’s responsibility to
supervise a team of office staff, drivers, operators and associated employees.
commercial awareness and judgement and ability to prioritise according to the
demands of the depot.
Excellent experience of working with Microsoft Office
