Location: Avonmouth Head Office
Salary: Competitive, subject to experience

King Lifting provides crane hire, plant and machinery movement solutions from depots across the UK. We also supply transport and telecoms logistics.
The IT Manager is responsible for the smooth running of the IT and Communications Systems within King Lifting. You will ensure that projects are planned and executed with the least possible disruption to King Lifting staff; and that best practices are used where ever possible to allow traceability and a working DR (Disaster Recovery) solution. Some travel will be necessary in support of remote depots. 

Duties to include:

Managing working relationships with third party suppliers, vendors. Negotiating contracts. 
Overseeing the day to day running of the IT department. 
Line Manager for IT Assistant to facilitate a robust and effective IT department.
Ongoing supervision of workstations, printers, domain management, etc. to keep in working order.
Management of projects including relocations, set-up, deployment and roll-out of systems.
Managing a MITEL VOIP phone system.
Working with and supporting users across multiple remote sites. 
Maintain and develop the Sharepoint server.
Supervise network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access devices. 
Manage a selection of mobile devices including phones, tablets and laptops.
Understanding of the complexities in preparation for GDPR and working with other business areas to ensure compliance and implement changes to working practices. 
Purchasing and maintaining stocks of IT equipment. 
Looking after CCTV for all company locations. 
Administering an RHL system. 

Personal Profile:

You must have experience in a similar role, ideally in the plant hire or construction sector.
It is essential that you have supported multiple sites and remote users across different locations.
Prioritisation is essential for this busy role and you need to have analytical problem solving skills. 
You need to be proactive in anticipating issues before they arise, and have the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms.

Basic admin of an RHL server 
Mobile device management
Active Directory 
Global Policy 
Windows Server 2008 R2/2012
Windows 7/10
Microsoft Exchange 
VM Ware / vSphere
Dell (server) and HP systems 
MITEL Phone system
Watchguard Firebox Systems (Firewall) 

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm or reasonable hours necessary to complete the job. Occasional out of hours or weekend work may be necessary in order to maintain a consistent and dependable level of IT provision and cause minimum disruption to operations.
