As one of the leading crane hire companies in the UK, King Lifting perform a variety of other tasks such as Plant and Machinery Movement, Transport, Airport Services and Telecoms Logistics. We have a CITB registered training school where we deliver courses to industry and pass on our expertise in the sector.

Due to expansion and rapid growth, a vacancy has arisen for a Trainer / Assessor.

We can currently offer CPCS training and testing for mobile crane, slinger/signaller, lift supervisor, appointed person and crawler crane, with the view of adding compact crane, forklift and lorry loader to our CPCS offer. Along with this we also offer work at height, tackle inspection, and a range of other courses.

The Trainer / Assessor will travel to our depots to deliver training.

The role will largely involve delivering training at our CPCS centre in Avonmouth, however there will also be a requirement to undertake training at customer premises and carry out site visits for NVQ assessments.

Personal Profile:

  • Full clean driving licence (essential)
  • CPCS Mobile Crane (essential)
  • CPCS Slinger Signaller (essential)
  • CPCS Lift Supervisor and/or Appointed Person (desirable)
  • A recognised training qualification or the willingness to work towards one
  • Confidence in interacting at all levels and presenting
  • The motivation to pass on knowledge and experience
  • A willingness to learn the role of a trainer/assessor and the standards in which we deliver to

Interested applicants must hold as a minimum their mobile crane and slinger/signaller qualifications. Lift Supervisor and AP would be advantageous; however, we can support the right candidate in achieving these.
