Our policies provide a framework for quality objectives and includes a commitment to meet applicable requirements of our ISO 9001:2015 accreditation as well as to continually improve. The range and extent of the quality processes is based upon such factors and equipment/services, the complexity and interaction of the processes, the methods used and the skills and training of personnel involved in performing work.

Health and safety sit at the heart of everything we deliver. Our specialised solutions comply with all necessary industry safety regulations. King Lifting has implemented several technical processes that allow for easier compliance to our management systems and policies.

Environmental processes

We are ISO 14001:2015 certified and follow a framework of effective environmental management – rest assured our environmental impact is being measured and improved.

This includes regularly monitoring and assessing all objectives and targets, as well as the training of employees on environmental issues and best practice. We always minimise the production of waste and energy and have set a goal to make our fleet carbon neutral by 2030.

Occupational processes

We consider our employees our most important asset. King Lifting’s occupational health processes have been designed to keep our employees healthy and safe whilst in work and manage any risks in the workplace that are likely to give rise to work-related ill health including mental health. This includes:

  • Ongoing training and refresher courses
  • Safety critical medical undertaken every year
  • Access to mental health counselling
  • Six monthly self-assessment questionnaires
  • Random drug & alcohol testing (carried out by external body)
  • Drug & alcohol intervention

Supply chain processes

King Lifting has an approved supplier process for all suppliers and sub-contractors, all new suppliers must complete an online questionnaire to become an approved vendor. A vendor is only accepted once a minimum score or more has been achieved on the scoring card process. This includes:

  • Accreditation score
  • Company details
  • Health and safety
  • Environmental
  • Quality
  • Financial details
  • Sub-contracting process
  • Monitoring and audit review
  • Due diligence of supplier
