SiteRight Manual Movement and Traversing of Loads

This course is designed for personnel looking to enhance their knowledge of the safe use of small lifting equipment and non-crane-related lifting operations. It will provide experienced slinger signallers with basic knowledge on using chain blocks and related equipment to safely and competently perform MMTL tasks on site, following lift plans and site guidelines.

Candidates must have a CPCS A40 Slinger Signaller Qualification and a Manual Handling Qualification to enrol in this course.

CPCS A60 Mobile Crane Operator

This eight-day course will provide delegates with the necessary skills, knowledge and training for the role of the mobile crane operator as part of the overall lifting operations team. It is for those who are required to operate mobile cranes for the movement of loads.

A mobile all-terrain crane is used for training and testing purposes. The basic principles of this mobile crane course will support further training with your employer for other crane makes and models with their own fleet.

This course comprises seven consecutive days of training followed by a one-day CPCS theory and practical test. Successful delegates will receive a red CPCS Trained Operator Card which is valid for two years. CPCS red cardholders must complete the relevant NVQ to convert their red Trained Operator card to a full five-year blue Competent Operator card.

CPCS A61 Appointed Person – Lifting Operations

This five-day course will provide delegates with the necessary skills, knowledge and training in order to prepare for the role of the Appointed Person as part of the lifting operations team. It is suitable for supervisors/managers and those with a responsibility for lift planning and/or those responsible for approving safe systems of work for lifting operations.

This course focuses primarily on mobile crane operations.

This course comprises four consecutive days of training followed by a one-day CPCS theory and practical test. Successful delegates will receive a red CPCS Trained Operator Card which is valid for two years. CPCS red cardholders must complete the relevant NVQ to convert their red Trained Operator card to a full five-year blue Competent Operator card.

This course focuses primarily on slinging and signalling operations using a mobile crane, however the skills, knowledge and training can be applied to all lifting operations.
