Management led standards
The senior leadership team leads by example, setting the standards and commitments of our occupational health and safety policies. We are dedicated to achieving the highest possible practicable standards and their continuous improvement. King Lifting is fully certified for ISO 45001:2018 – occupational health and safety management systems for our crane hire, machinery installation/removal and transport.

Occupational health
We consider our employees our most important asset. King Lifting’s occupational health processes have been designed to keep our employees healthy and safe whilst in work and manage any risks in the workplace that are likely to give rise to work-related ill health including mental health. This includes:
- Ongoing training and refresher courses
- Safety critical medical undertaken every year
- Access to mental health counselling
- Six monthly self-assessment questionnaires
- Random drug & alcohol testing (carried out by external body)
- Drug & alcohol intervention
Our health & safety pledge
We take all reasonable steps to implement, monitor and maintain safe plant, substances, equipment, working environments and working practices within the organisation. We will continuously improve our health and safety management arrangements in order to protect employees and others from risks to their health, safety and wellbeing whilst engaged in work related activities. We recognise that safety is the responsibility of everyone and is not just a function of management. Employees have specific responsibilities to take reasonable care of themselves and others that could be affected by their activities and to co-operate to achieve the standards required.
