King Lifting delivered expert lifting solutions at Southampton Docks with multiple lifts, each requiring a tailored approach to ensure safety and efficiency. 

Utilising two 150-tonne Liebherr LTM1150-5.3 cranes for the 25te Airbridge, our experienced team adapted their approach for each lift, managing varying weights and structures. The project’s success was made possible through meticulous planning, seamless teamwork, and our commitment to safety and excellence. 

The lifts included the offloading of Tunnel 1, weighing 27 tonnes, and Tunnel 2, at 25 tonnes.  

Additional lifts included:

• docking ramps (5 tonnes) 

• cabin (12 tonnes) 

• building connection module (10 tonnes). 

As part of the project, our team also managed the temporary removal of two large structures from the rails. Structure 1 weighed 44 tonnes, while Structure 2 weighed 47 tonnes, requiring careful handling and accurate execution.
