King Lifting were commissioned as a Specialists Contractor to provide managed lifting solutions to support construction of the new University Station situated in the heart of Birmingham. A sensitive project due to ‘live’ network rail infrastructure and canal which both operate through the heart of the construction site. Our client was contracted to design and build Birmingham’s newest rail station. The lifting programme incorporated lifting, moving, and positioning precast concrete elements including two new bridges all during time critical possessions of both the rail and canal.
